GDPR Policy

This policy explains how Scunthorpe Removals ("we", "us") uses the personal information you give us when you visit this website, ask for a quote, call us or book a move. We are based at 1-3 Cliff Gardens, Scunthorpe DN15 7PH.

What we collect

• Contact details you give us: your name, phone number and email address.
• Move details: the addresses you are moving from and to, your moving date, what is being moved and any access notes.
• Records of calls, messages and emails between us, and the details of any booking.

How we use it

• To answer your enquiry and prepare a quote.
• To plan, carry out and follow up your move or packing.
• To keep the records we need for accounts, insurance and legal reasons.

We use your information because you have asked us for a quote or service, because we need it to carry out a contract with you, or because the law requires us to keep it. We do not sell your information, and we do not use it for marketing unless you have agreed to that.

Our quote form

The Get Free Quote form on this website is provided by Removals CRM, the system we use to manage enquiries. The details you enter are sent to that system so we can reply to you. The form loads from removals-crm.com inside our pages.

Maps and the cost calculator

Some pages show Google Maps. When a map loads, Google may receive your IP address and set its own cookies, under Google's GDPR Policy. The moving cost calculator can use postcodes.io, a free postcode lookup service, to work out the distance between two postcodes. The postcodes you type are sent to that service only to work out the distance; we do not store them.

Who we share it with

We only share your information where we need to: with the providers of the systems we use to run the business (such as our enquiry system and email), with insurers if there is a claim, or where the law requires it.

How long we keep it

We keep enquiry details for as long as we need them to deal with your quote, and booking records for as long as we need them for accounts, insurance and legal purposes. After that they are deleted.

Your rights

You can ask to see the personal information we hold about you, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete it where we no longer need to keep it. You can also object to how we use it. To do any of these, call us on 01724375786 or write to us at the address below.
